Today, Dr. Wayne H. Bowen joins the College of Undergraduate Studies as the Director of Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) and a Professor in Department of History. He will focus on advancing the IDS program’s mission, vision, and strategic plan to further enhance the student experience. Additionally, he will implement and assess the curriculum to develop, grow, and strengthen current and future degree programs.
Bowen joins UCF from Southeast Missouri State University where he served as the Chair of the History Department and Director of University Studies. He has extensive experience developing strategies and leading programs and units that position students for academic success and ensure they receive a well-rounded liberal education.
