Absolutely! Similar courses at other institutions help you get into UCF, but our SLS 1501 course helps you gain the necessary skills to successfully graduate from UCF!

If you graduated from high school and enrolled at UCF with less than 12 college credits since earning your high school diploma, you are considered an FTIC student. Any FTIC or entering first-year student regardless of credit hours may enroll in SLS 1501. Entering first-year students who earned credits through dual enrollment, accelerated hours, AP/IB credit, etc. and Continuing Sophomores may also enroll in the course.

Yes! You are welcome to enroll no matter what your major is. However, there might be major-specific sections or sections with restricted enrollment. If so, these sections will be clearly indicated in myUCF.

While SLS 1501 is designed to help you to be a successful student, you should approach it like any other college course. Attending class, actively participating, and submitting assignments on time are key strategies for achieving success in this course.
