Phone System Update

We are experiencing some technical difficulties with the phone system at the advising/academic success coach office.
If you need to speak to an academic success coach, you are encouraged to visit the advising/academic success coach office in person or email the office at cugsids@ucf.edu.

I plan to withdraw from all my classes this semester (full semester withdrawal). How does the withdrawal policy affect me?

You can choose to withdraw from all classes in a current semester at any time before the withdrawal deadline. University policy allows up to two full semester withdrawals before the withdrawal deadline. Full semester withdrawals do not count as part of the six total withdrawals, but they do count as part of the two withdrawals per course limit.

If you were admitted at UCF in Summer 2023 or later, you are limited to a maximum of six course withdrawals at UCF, three from 1000-2000 level courses and three from 3000+ level courses.

Additionally, you may only withdraw from the same course twice. You need academic success coach approval if you’d like to enroll a third time. You will not be able to withdraw from the course a third time.

You must get your academic success coach’s approval to enroll a third time. Your academic success coach is not obligated to support your request but will take into consideration the reason(s) for your previous course withdrawals along with academic progress in your program. If approved, you will NOT be able to withdraw from the class a third time.

While you are not required to see an academic success coach, we strongly recommend that you consult with one before withdrawing from any course to ensure you stay on track to complete your degree program’s requirements and graduate on time.  

If this is your second withdrawal from the course, you will need to see an academic success coach before enrolling a third time.

Approved Late Withdrawals count the same as a regularly withdrawn course.

Approved Medical Withdrawals do not count for the six total withdrawals, the two withdrawal per course limit, or the two full semester withdrawal limit.
