The Student Undergraduate Research Council (SURC) is a group of student ambassadors in Undergraduate Research (OUR), a part of the Division of Teaching and Learning. They come from various majors and conduct research in topics ranging from biodiversity to artificial intelligence to surgical robots. Members have participated in summer programs at other universities including MIT, Vanderbilt, Washington State, University of Missouri, and the University of Chicago, thanks to support from Academic Advancement Programs. They are involved in UCF research programs such as the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, Honors in the Major, Research and Mentoring Program, and McNair Scholars, and have presented their research regional and national conferences. Keep an eye out for SURC members around campus – they’re excited to talk about research with you!
