We are bombarded with information every day, but how can we tell which sources are reliable? To help you navigate the vast information landscape effectively, UCF is introducing a new course, Mastering Information: An Information Literacy Course, IDS 3635.
This eight-week course will be offered in Session F of the fall semester. Classes will be online and in-person. You will earn one credit hour when they complete the course.
The class will focus on information literacy and increase your ability to identify, evaluate and use information.
In the course you will:
- Make informed decisions and avoid misinformation.
- Complete major-related research assignments.
- Use academic journals and search library databases.
- Create and annotated bibliography in APA style.
