More than three hundred faculty members are teaching General Education Program (GEP) courses this semester! We want you to feel that you are part of this community through programs and events that will provide opportunities to share best practices and ideas with fellow faculty members.
UCF’s Board of Trustees approved our GEP at the June 2024 meeting, the first step in this review. Next, we are preparing to submit our program to the Florida Board of Governors for consideration this fall, and hopefully a decision by early next semester for the 2025-26 academic year. All State University System institutions are following the same process. The Florida Board of Education will review Florida College System GEPs on a similar timeline.
I hope you will participate in the GEP events and programs planned for this year, which your faculty colleagues have developed to support your teaching and professional engagement. Have a great semester!
