What do you do and how long have you been doing it?

For the past 3 years I have been practicing litigation with a focus on insurance defense and criminal defense work.

In what ways are you involved in the community outside of work?

I am involved with the UCF Young Alumni Association as well as other professional organizations.

What person or group had the biggest influence on you as a student? Why?

My fraternity, Beta Theta Pi, had one of the strongest influences on me as a student for two reasons: first and foremost, it provided me with a brotherhood of young men who constantly supported me; second, it served as an incubator for me to develop and grow my leadership skills, which have become invaluable.

Looking back, what are you most proud of about your time at UCF?

I am most proud of my constant pursuit of what I wanted to do and wanted to be. There was never a scholarship that I wanted and didn’t apply for. There was never a position that I wanted and didn’t apply for. Despite failures along the way, I never stopped trying to achieve my goals. That is what I am most proud of looking back.

What would you have done differently as a college student? Also, what good decisions did you make as a student?

If I could go back I would hold the importance of classroom learning as high as I held the importance of learning outside of the classroom. Experiences in and out of the classroom both have the profound ability to develop a well-rounded individual and prepare them for life after college. The student who recognizes this is more likely to succeed.

What was your most valuable experience outside of the classroom and why was it valuable for you?

My most valuable experience was as a member of President’s Leadership Council. It helped me become more poised, polished, and professional. It taught me the importance of establishing meaningful relationships with the amazing people in my life.
