Anna Maria Jones Ph.D.

Director of the QEP

Anna Maria Jones joined the QEP as its Director in summer 2015. Anna is Professor of English at UCF. Her teaching and research focus on Victorian literature and visual culture, literary theory, and on neo-Victorianism in contemporary global contexts. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Notre Dame. Additional information about her background and interests is available on her faculty page on the Department of English website.

Brooks Pingston M.A.

Academic Support Coordinator II, QEP

Brooks is the Academic Support Coordinator for the QEP. He earned his Master’s in Educational Leadership with a focus in Public Administration from UCF in 2015. He has ten years of experience in academic advising, academic unit assessment, and program development. Brooks was a 2018 Gabor A&P Excellence Award nominee and is a credentialed Career Development Facilitator (CDF).

Lindsay Rushworth M.A.

Academic Advisor I, Knights of Distinction

Lindsay Rushworth is the Academic Advisor for the University of Central Florida’s Knights of Distinction program. She earned her master’s degree in English with a focus on Literary, Cultural, and Textual Studies from the University of Central Florida. Lindsay’s research interests include Victorian literature, integrative-learning pedagogies, and digital storytelling. In addition to working with the Knights of Distinction program, Lindsay has also taught Composition courses for the Department of Writing and Rhetoric.

Marelize Roets

Graduate Assistant

Marelize is the Graduate Assistant for the Knights of Distinction program. She is earning her Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing at UCF. Her primary focus is Fiction and her career goal is to teach at college level. She was born and raised in South Africa but has been living in Orlando since 2016.
