Anna Maria Jones, Ph.D.
Anna Maria Jones joined the QEP as its Director in summer 2015. Anna is Associate Professor of English at UCF. Her teaching and research focus on Victorian literature and visual culture, literary theory, and on neo-Victorianism in contemporary global contexts. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Notre Dame. Additional information about her background and interests is available on her faculty page on the Department of English website.
Brooks Pingston, M.A.
Brooks is the Program Coordinator for the QEP. He earned his Master’s in Educational Leadership with a focus in Public Administration from UCF in 2015. He has eight years of experience in academic advising and academic unit assessment, and is a credentialed Career Development Facilitator (CDF).
Lindsay Rushworth, B.A.
Lindsay Rushworth is the Program Assistant for the QEP. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Florida and is currently working on her master’s degree in Literary, Cultural, and Textual Studies. Lindsay’s research interests include Victorian literature, science and literature, and reader-response theory.
Kelly Allred, Ph.D.
Kelly Allred is an Integrative Learning Faculty Fellow with What’s Next. She joined the faculty at UCF in the College of Nursing (CON) in fall 2007, where she is Assistant Clinical Professor in Nursing. Both her teaching and research focus the use of simulation and technology in education and pain management. Kelly has seen the impact of integrative learning in the CON, where students’ clinical experiences allow them to integrate concepts learned in the classroom and lab with real-world contexts. Kelly also serves as Program Coordinator for the basic and accelerated undergraduate nursing programs, working closely with College of Nursing administrators and faculty to promote student success. Vicki Lavendol, MBA
Vicki Lavendol is an Integrative Learning Faculty Fellow with What’s Next. She has been an Instructor at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management since 2010; she holds both an MBA and an MHR from Rollins College. Vicki was awarded the 2013 Rosen College Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award and the 2015 Rosen College Teaching Incentive Program (TIP) Award. Vicki creates purposeful assignments in Human Resources, Communications, and Leadership classes that build confidence and that help students articulate their preparation for successful careers. Vicki’s professional experience includes: Director of Leadership & Training at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, Director of Human Resources at Charles Schwab & Company, Human Resources Operations Manager at Walt Disney World, plus Tupperware Worldwide and property management roles.
Courtney Handy is an Undergraduate Student Assistant for the QEP. She is a senior Honors student with a major in Legal Studies and minor in Sociology. Courtney previously worked at Career Services as a Career Peer Advisor. Her campus involvement includes the President’s Leadership Council, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the UCF Chapter of SISTUHS, Inc.
Coral Nimz is an Undergraduate Student Assistant for the QEP. She is a senior in the Honors College, pursuing a degree in mathematics with a minor in art. Before joining the Office of the QEP, Coral worked as a Resident Assistant in on campus housing. During her time at UCF, Coral has been the secretary of Towers Area Council, on the UCF Club Rowing team, and an active member of Honors Congress.
